- SOM Resilience Program
Below is an official description of what the CUSOM Resilience Program offers.
Our programs are grounded in evidence and based on programs with proven outcomes. Areas of focus include:
- Coordinate and connect all resilience activities and research within CU SOM
- Create a Network of Support for faculty, residents and fellows
- Create and disseminate a menu of workshops, lectures, programs and interventions to promote resilience, available to all CU SOM Faculty, Fellows and Residents
- Communicate the work we are doing and the programs we offer to a broad audience
- Study and share the work we are doing with meaningful measures to show proven outcomes and benefits
- Try Koru. Using a four week, empirically tested mindfulness course developed by Duke University physicians, the team will help you incorporate proven strategies for better sleep, less stress, increasing mindfulness and becoming compassionate with yourself. Day and evening programs are available. The winter session is already in progress but the March/April schedule will be released soon.
- Be a Friend. The Peer-to-Peer Network is a volunteer-based peer support program that matches campus providers who have experienced an adverse clinical event with a peer supporter in a confidential, non-punitive manner. The program does not include formal behavioral health counseling, risk management or systematic problem solving; however, it works in conjunction with existing campus programs. For more information, email [email protected] or call 303-724-1944.
- Get One-on-One Support. This isn’t therapy in a traditional sense (although referrals may be given). This is meeting with a licensed psychologist to talk about finding balance and increasing your resilience and wellness. For more information about individual consultations email [email protected] or call 303-724-1944.
